Wildlife 

Uttarakhand lies in the heart of nature.  Surrounded by the Himalayan Mountains, the state offers an abundance of natural beauty.

The state has developed a number of wildlife sanctuaries which have become tourist attractions.  The Benog Wildlife Sanctuary and Jabarkhet Nature Reserve are located in Mussoorie and are popular with birdwatchers.  The Rajaji National Park traverses across Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh.
