Situated at a height of 3048 mtrs, Dayara Bugyal is a vast lush green meadow with great views of the Himalayan peaks.

Dayara Bugyal is a popular trekking area in Uttarkashi.  In winters, this area receives heavy snowfall, making it an ideal destination for skiers.

If you are interested in trekking then this is a good beginner's trek.  The trek covers the open land and dense forests before finishing off on the lush green meadow.  Start your trek from Barsu Village and then trek down to Raithal.  Raithal Village is located 38 kms from Uttarkashi city and is 11 kms from Dayara Bugyal.  This quaint village is covered in lush greenery and is also the base camp for the trek.

While visiting Dayara Bugyal, visitors can also stop by at Barnala Tal or head on to Harshil and Gangotri Temple.
