Purola is a small hill station in Uttarkashi situated at an altitude of 1600 mts above sea level.  Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and dense deodar forests, this small town is famous for "Har-ki-Doon Valley" and Govind Wildlife Sanctuary.  Har-ki-Doon Valley is popular for trekking activities. The Govind Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the largest national parks 

Located on the banks of the River Tons, Mori is a sub-district in Uttarkashi which combines history and culture. Situated on the border of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Mori is surrounded by green paddy fields and is rich is cultural activities.  Here, one will find an ancient temple dedicated to Karna. Visitors can also take part in rafting on the Tons River, fishing and trekking at Rupin Pass Trek.
