Overview
The Stupa is open to the public everyday from 9 AM onwards. The Monastery also has a guest house which can be booked on prior notice for short or extended stays.
The Mindrolling Monastery or Tibetan Buddhist Temple, located in Clement Town, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Dehradun. This temple is famous for its Buddhist layout of the land and established the Ngagyur Nyingma College, one of the largest Buddhist institutes in India.
Established in 1965, the Mindrolling Monastery continues a legacy which began in 1676. It has expanded steadily to become one of the largest Buddhist centers today. It is considered an inspiring example of the pure and profound Dharma of Vajrayana Buddhism. There are over 300 monks attending Buddhist education covering primary and secondary school.
