The Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia (Sanctuary of 84 cottages) is located inside the Rajaji National Park in Rishikesh, on the eastern banks of the Ganges River near Muni ki Reti.

In the 1960's, the ashram was run as an International Academy of Meditation by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This was a training centre for students who were taught the Transcendental Meditation technique devised by the Maharishi. It became famous in 1968 with the arrival of the British bank, The Beatles. The members of this group studied at this ashram where they stayed from February to April. They also used their time here to create some of their most popular songs.

The cottages which were allotted to the Beatles were equipped with electric heaters, running water and toilets along with English-style furniture. One of the cottages was also converted into a music room by George Harrison

In the 1990's, the ashram was abandoned and was taken over by the forestry department. Fans of the Beatles continued to visit this site. In December 2015, the site was officially opened to the public as the Beatles Ashram. In February 2018, the 50th Anniversary of the arrival of the Beatles was celebrated at the ashram

The state government has plans to renovate the ashram.
