Landour is a small cantonment town located next to Mussoorie. Together, they form the Queen of the Hills! Landour is 984 ft above Mussoorie. This difference in altitude also ensures that the temperature in Landour remains 2-3 degrees cooler than Mussoorie and it rains and snows more than Mussoorie. It became a British cantonment in 1827 and still has many remnants from that era.
