Dodital Lake is a freshwater lake in the Uttarkashi district.  The Assi Ganga rises from Dodital and joins the Bhagirati River.  The confluence of these rivers forms Gangotri.  Sangam Chatti is the base from where the trek to Dodital Lake begins.  Sangam Chatti is 19 kms from Uttarkashi.  The trek from Sangam Chatti is 24 kms long.  Overnight stays can be arranged at Agora or Bebra villages.  Private lodges or camping sites are available.
