CORBETT

The Jim Corbett National Park is a forested wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand. Part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, this park lies in the Nainital district.  Rich in flora and fauna, it’s known for its Bengal tigers. Animals, including tigers, leopards and wild elephants, roam the Dhikala zone. On the banks of the Ramganga Reservoir, the Sonanadi zone is home to elephants and leopards, along with hundreds of species of birds.

The Corbett National Park was established in 1936 and is the oldest and most well-known National Park.

Corbett National Park is approachable from Ramnagar, which is the nearest city to the park. The Ramnagar Railway Station is just 15 kms from the Park.  One can also reach the National Park from Dehradun which is 232 kms away and Delhi is 260 kms away.

Jungle Safari

Haridwar, Uttarakhand

The best way to view a Bengal Tiger is to take a Jungle Safari.  The Safari Zone of Dhiklala is open from November 15th every  year till the monsoons in June.  The tour is conducted by trained professionals who educate you on the variety of flora and fauna that you will come across during the Safari.
