Situated 1364 meters above sea level, Kempty Falls is 13 kms from Mussoorie in Ram Gaon in the Tehri Garhwal District.  This location was developed by John Mekinan, a British Officer and has been an important attraction since 1835.  It was established as a place for hosting tea parties and is one of the oldest tourist attractions in Mussoorie.

The water falls from a height of 4500 ft. They are serene and picturesque in nature and get divided into 5 channels. One can get an amazing view from the Cable Car (ropeway) that offers a 360-degree view of the waterfalls.

The Kempty Fall has a small pool like area below the falls which is a popular bathing spot for tourists. Swimming costumes are available on rent and changing room facilities are also available.  It is also a popular picnic spot.  The spot is also surrounded by many shops selling wooden artifacts, jewellery and handmade crafts.   One can also enjoy boating in the man-made pond nearby.

Kempty Falls can be visited year-round but the best time to visit is during summer.
