Developed by the National Council for Science Museum and Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, the Regional Science Centre is an educational destination catering to students. This Centre promotes the development of scientific temperament and rational thinking among people. Science Centers have been developed across the country with the objective of demonstrating science concepts to students and to popularize science among students. Workshops and training programs are also conducted regularly to enhance the skills of teachers and students through experiential and informal learning. The Science Park includes a Dinosaur Park, a Himalayan Gallery, a 3D Theatre, Library, an auditorium and an exhibition hall.

Some of the popular science exhibits include "Gravity Chair", "Whispering Garden", "Musical Bar", "Sympathetic Swing", "Birding Cage", "Eco Tube" and "Perspective House".

Other concepts that are covered include nuclear power generation, cloud computing, robotics, carbon-nano tubes and graphene among other concepts. The Science Centre also offers a planetarium where one can view the night sky.
