Lachhiwala Nature Park is a popular picnic spot located 22 kms from Dehradun and a half hour drive from Haridwar.  A year-round destination, the nature park attracts a large crowd of tourists every year.   

 

Established in 1982, Lachhiwala, also known as the Lachhiwala Butterfly Park, offers a serene escape from the city life.  This hidden gem is known for its pristine natural beauty, ambience and recreational activities.  It is surrounded by lush green forests and small pools of water from the Suswa River which flows through the park.

In terms of recreational activities, the park has a swimming pool, a Shivalik Herbal Garden, a Butterfly Park.  There are also arrangements for boating, trekking, and birdwatching.

Lachhiwala Nature Park is also in close proximity to the Rajaji National Park.  The Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is 14 kms from Lachhiwala Nature Park.
