Earlier known as the Malsi Deer Park, the Dehradun Zoo is approximately 15 kms from the Clock Tower on the Dehradun-Mussoorie Road.

The park, which is part of the Malsi Forest Range, was established in 1972 with the introduction of a few spotted deer. It was later upgraded to a Mini Zoo in 2012. The Zoo currently has 187 animals.
Inside the zoo, one can see a variety of birds such as parrots, peacocks, pheasants, parakeet, owls, turkeys and ostrich. In addition, one can also see two leopards, crocodiles and a variety of deer.
Apart from the zoo, the park also engages visitors through the 3D Theatre which shows a variety of videos on wildlife. There is also an Aquarium displaying more than 50 species of fish and a Cactus and Succulent Garden featuring 400 varieties of cactus.
Tickets can be booked online on the Dehradun Zoo website.
